You gotta love Mel’s Drive-in for what it is; a tourist trap 50's style diner with a super cheap happy hour. Locals, don’t be afraid and check it out. The tourists may ask you to take their picture, but you’ll be so drunk off the $1.50 beers you’ll gladly oblige.
The grease filled food is fried, fried, fried…did we mention the food is fried? The portions are big, the food tastes great and is the quintessential cure for last night’s hangover. With $.50 Wings grabbing a dozen won’t break your bank, but it was the $1 Sliders that won us over. Pair that with Chef Rico’s Colossal Blossom, and a beer, and you’ve got yourself a happy hour meal deal for just over $5.
You’ll leave happy hour at Mel’s with your wallet and belly plenty full.
