Champagne Happy Hour on a Beer Pocket Book
"FIGARO...Figaro...Figaro, Figaro, Figaro!" Did we step out of LA and smack into a European Bistro? YES we did! Who else has escargots on their happy hour menu? This is the most interesting happy hour menu we've seen, and we love it. From their Boeuf Carpaccio to their Croquettes de Crabe everything we tried on this menu was uniquely French and uniquely awesome.
All of Figaro's drink options have their own French flair and their detail was impeccable; even the water was served in wine glasses, what a nice touch. You can order a beer on their happy hour menu but we suggest going the French way and getting the Monaco or Demi Peche where they add a flavored syrup to the beer.
This place was jammed packed from start to finish, and for good reason, but the good news is you can order happy hour from any place in the restaurant. While the atmosphere and people remind you you're still in LA, the food and drinks at Figaro's transport you to the French Riviera.
- Veggie Vixen: Pommes Frites (french fries) is the only true veggie option on the menu, but the mussels and crab cakes are incredible for pescatarians.
- Dr. Drinks: Although I'm not into snails, I will be back.
- Happy Hour Queens: Totally in to Escargots; we will be back.
