We Plead The 5th

Posted June 14, 2010

Ask the Happy Hour Crew if we like the Fifth Amendment Ale House happy hour?  Well, we plead the 5th...  Yeah right, non of us can keep our mouths shut, so here we go.  Beer place, beer place, beer place, go here for the beer.  They have many unique beer selections on their happy hour menu for only $3 and they change daily.  The Happy Hour Crew enjoyed the Speedway Stout from a local San Diego brewery, which was a bold dark beer with an espresso and dark chocolate taste.  It just may be the Happy Hour Queens' new morning brew.

Food on this happy hour menu is very limited and one of the main reasons for the lower ratings.  Specialty sausages were only $3 and you had three choices. Louisiana (hot) was our favorite, followed by the Hebrew and Bratwurst.  The Louisiana Sausage will burn a whole in your stomach and we're grateful that at least one sausage had some flavor.  All you Veggie Vixens will only be able to enjoy the great beer since there is NO veggie option.

Keep in mind though, the beer selections on happy hour change daily giving you reasons to stop by for a new brew.  Let's face it, the Fifth Amendment Ale House is a beer joint.  Go here for the happy hour prices on interesting local beer, but for all the other elements you look for in a happy hour, we plead the 5th.

AAHH...Tidbits
  • Happy Hour Queens: Not enough choices for the Queens because we love us some variety.
  • Dr. Drinks: Go for a brew with the boys.
  • Veggie Vixen: Although they had no happy hour veggie options, they do have a vegetarian sausage on the regular menu which I tried and it was tasty.
